Divine Liturgy

Every day at St. John's, we celebrate the Divine Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom.  This is the most widely celebrated Divine Liturgy in the Byzantine Rite.  St. John Chrysostom was Archbishop of Constantinople in the 5th century.  His work was a continuation of the liturgical work originally written by St. Basil the Great.

If you are not familiar, the Divine Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom is very beautiful, and many Christians prefer it over other services.  Most of the Liturgy is sung with traditional tones and melodies.

All Divine Liturgies are Eucharistic services, where parishioners may partake in Holy Communion, receiving the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ.
